We began working with House of Funk back in 2011 — when the company was called Funk Design and the branding was darker and decidedly more formal in feel. It all began with a lighter, brighter logo and web design.
In celebration of their ten-year anniversary, Sandra Funk and her team worked with us on a complete rebrand: new name, logo design and a website with e-commerce functionality for their luxury online design services.
The House of Funk logo began as a scribbled little sketch—drawn by Sandra Funk, scanned and emailed to us. From there, we made it real, exploring variations on the idea until the details, color palette and fonts were right. The House of Funk look is crisp and instantly recognizable.

Sandra and the team from House of Funk go live on Facebook every Wednesday at 4pm EST to talk about design—from choosing paint colors to how billing is structured—and drink a decent amount of wine.
Watch a clip of the “Design Sips” episode when Nicole Heymer stopped by their Montclair, NJ office to talk about branding for interior designers.
“As someone who has worked with many web design, branding, and online marketing firms, I can say without hesitation that she is the expert you want and need behind the scenes. Nicole Heymer is the real deal.”
